Most important thing to take away from this? It's available on Linux. HUGE DEAL!
I wonder how it will perform though considering Linux isn't bogged down by butt loads of stuff and is a fairly clean OS.

Im just waiting for it to come out, a few games are making a kind of jump up from needing only the gtx X60/X60 ti, range for recommended settings and several versions before.
Could this mean we will expect a big GPU jump forward with performance?
Glad i have a system to run it, however feeling sad i had a high end card a year ago... and its near recommended system specs.
Looks like it runs quite a bit better on Nvidia cards considering they recommend a 770 for Nvidia but recomened a 290 for AMD.
A 280 is the AMD equivalent of 770 not a 290, the Nvidia equivalent of the 290 is a 780/970.
But give it a few months and AMD might be able to give you better performance![]()
Time to buy some DDR3![]()
Wait what, are you still on DDR2? :\
I don't know why but my first thought on this thread was imagine playing this at Tom's place. So much power and monitors.![]()
280X with OC should not perform more than 10% worse than a 770 with OC so I think those requirements are dictated mainly by the money Nvidia has invested in the title. On top of that in 90% of the situations a 280X has 50% more memory than a 770 unless it's a 4GB version which is everything but common and given Witcher 3 is a modern game, the tendency is for new titles to be very memory hungry, even if optimised otherwise.
Those requirements speak good though, as the game will not be a disappointment in terms of how beautiful the previews shown up to this moment are compared to the final product. Cudos to CD Project Red, I think they will not fail the enthusiasts once again.
