running on
i7 2600
R9 290 4GB
8GB 1600Mhz Ram

yeah its so easy to get sidetracked completely, spent more time running around the forest on the horse, its just awesome.

just on the last section of the 2nd game at the moment, then this is getting downloaded an played to death

Last night after being down the range i bough just about enough munch to last me the next too days so i dont have to leave my house... expect 35+ hours of gameplay lol
what bit are you on, on W2 tripp?

on lash last night, came home, fell asleep in chair ready for getting up early for a full sesh today. but got f1 and footie later, hmm, have to flip a coin perhaps.

i iam somewhat struggling with getting upgrades though, still stuck with the first silver sword. meh

You won't get a better silver sword till lv8. Also costs a pretty penny. I'm almost lvl9 and my new silver sword does only 3 more base dmg than the orignal's max dmg. 102 base dmg iirc? Haven't played for two days.

Though my armor is bitchin!:)
My advice on armor, wait till around lvl 8-9 before you start investing heavily. Scout the world and craft armor is much easier and usually they are better. In a lot of quests you can earn armor sets and weapons. Though those require a recommended lvl of 20+ to complete. Buy weapons.. that's really the only thing. I don't even buy food. To expensive and doesn't help much. Using Quen is more effective and also parrying/dodging.

Do the quest to look for griffin armour its level 8 to wear i believe and its really good,
Ive found all the swords that i use.
Cant remember their names, sadly.
The viper school hunt give you a great silver sword for lower levels.
Plus i got a beastly one looking for ciri,,,, wont give the plot away here but its damn cool, kept it for about 5 levels

well i finished the witcher 2 last night and got the wild hunt downloaded last night before i went to bed

I've played a couple of hours now and I'm loving it. It's definitely living up to my expectations.

Hairworks is a b**** on my 780 Ti. I've turned it off and I'm playing on medium settings for constant 60+ fps. It still looks great, so I'm not too peeved off.

I think the currency needs fixing in this game, 17 crowns for bread.. yet only 41 crowns for a crossbow. So far I'm 9 hours in and just started the Women in the swamp quest, after finishing the "wandering in the dark" main quest, survived hordes of Wild hunt hounds and a huntsmen including 2 Golems just for good measure, left the cave walked down a track to be ripped apart by Ghouls (dammit) first death of the game. Loving this story so far.

The currency has always been this way since W1. Pretty sure it's 1/3 value of what it's worth when you sell but when you buy it's 2/3 more expensive or something like that. I can look up exact numbers. They were part of a mod that took the orginal values that made it more even. Also crossbows are cheap because they are pretty worthless so far into my 20hr playtime. Even against lower level monsters.

Yeah i spent several grand on bread and chicken ... lol and sold my hyped sword for 100 lol
but the CB is more for griffins and things that fly as it drops them from the sky.
thats all i use it for the oil on the sword and slap em up ;)
I got killed by an earth elemental and several things thats levels are only listed as ??
1 hit KO right through quen lol :(

Got a right annoying bug last night made me furious! "Can not Save at this point" a guard at the barons castle attacked for no reason (I could see) causing the conflict music, which didn't end and 2 hours later still couldn't save..

This happened to me on the first Witcher. I've not experienced any bugs in the 6 hours I've played (touch wood).
