Wireless card

I am looking for a wireless card to replace my 10 meter Ethernet cable that is running across my hall and into my room.

I am willing to spend up to £50 for a good one. I also wouldn't mind a USB one as long as they work

Get powerline adapters.
Don't bother with wireless on a desktop as all the connection is rarely stable enough to properly game or anything, and eventually, you'll run into problems.

Good point, I forgot all about the powerline adapters, The problem is, I have my router plugged into a 4way adapter as thre is only enough space for 1 socket on the wall.
