Wireless cable router, which one?

Thats exactly it mate.

Old victorian house, plugs are at a premium! Finding 2 near eachother, near the coax bit is... It just won't happen! I guess I'll have to fit another socket which means me getting my hands dirty!

Or buy one of those 2, 3 or 4 way socket boards (£7 from the local hardware store). That's what we're doing. We have only 2 wall sockets and need to plug in modem, router, tv, and cable tv decoder. So, I just bought a 4 way socket board and plugged it in, plugging everything into the board leaves me with 1 free wall socket for an XBOX or whatever.

I just bought 2 8-way Belkin surge protection things from Ebuyer for about a tenner each... They have £175k connected equipment warranty too... Well worth the money.

It`s always worth getting a nice surge protected 4/8 way, with a nice thick flex cable too.

A cheapo one, with no surge, and a thinish flex, could cost u in the long run.

Thing about it is too, that the good ones aren`t really that expensive, so there aint that much of an excuse.

That was my thinking... We had lightning hit us a few months back and it blew the PSU, GFX, MOBO and HDD of my downstairs computer... Blasted it to bits.. Took ages to work out what was wrong with it before realising it was everything.

Good thing was it wasn't that expensive a computer but still cost more to replace parts than a surge protector.

What with this rig all up and running and about 4 little block plug things hanging out of the wall and each other I really had to buy some decent protectors.

Anyway yeah worth every penny!
