Windows Update wanting me to install the same ones :S

That 'Security Update for Windows 7.....' was updated about a month ago and at the time it wanted me to update it everytime i switched my computer on. It did stop prompting me after a day but everytime i opened Windows Update, it wanted to update again.

Now the new ones, for Office and Excel, those came in today and i have already installed them twice and its wanting to install them again straight after it finishes.

Oh and that 'Security Update for Windows 7.....' just came back again today wanting to be installed for like the 20th time.

I have restarted, with no success. Straight after i booted up to the desktop, Windows prompting me to update the same ones.

Anyone having thesame problem? Or know a solution?

same here mate, installed those 3 office updates a couple of times and the icon is still in the task bar asking me to install them....

yeah ive had that mine wanted to install servce pack 1 2/3 times I have no idea why it happens I just reinstalled windows and it has never happened agan
some kind of bug with there server I think or a registry bug
could try reporting it to Microsoft see if thay have a fix for it ?

Nop, not at all.

Its a pain when something like this happens.

Anyway, i've disabled windows update altogether to stop it updating everytime i shutdown. But now the more annoying Action Centre is flashing a red X every so often. Oh Mircrosoft...
