windows clean install

sorry about the stupid question , since the last windows update , i keep getting warnings that my F drive a partition of C drive is running out of space . it looks like windows dumped some un-disclosed files on it that i can not access , Windows defender has recommended doing a clean install , is this the best course of action

If you use disk clean up it may be able to delete old updates installed on F

thanks for the reply ,, i have try'd doing that operation and also cleaning up windows files , made no difference , and if you click on the offending area in the F drive all windows says " we could not find any folders to show you"

If windows is telling you to reinstall then you should probably listen to it. If you want you can create a system image before you do it just incase.

Also make sure to do a backup of important files on top of a system image.

I always need coffee lol, thanks for reply I managed it in the end unfortunately I had a couple of issues with other programs after doing install but I think I have most of them sorted now
