windows 7 help

Hi people i have currently aquired a copy of windows 7 ultimate build rc2 and when it loads up the set up page it says my dvd/cd is incompatable for installation and a driver is required.

I have a Sony optiarc dvd rw ad-7200s dvd rom and i have scouted the net for windows 7 drivers with no sucess!

are there any drivers that will work?

All links and comments are very welcome and appreciated!

if you have a copy of vista installed somewhere and a spare 4gb usb key, it's possible to install from the key

or if planning on dual booting, you can just extract the files from the iso to a folder and start setup from there *shrug*

All I can find is this page with a firmware update on it.. worth a try though.

Thanks for all replies,

But..... The firmware update did not work.

I'm jus wondering could i install a copy of vista ultimate 32bit then install a copy of windows 7 that way to see if the dvd drive is recognised?

Had this very same issue with RC1.

Redownloading and burning at 1* speed solved it for me.
