Windows 7 Features Leaked Before PDC

U gotta be pretty careful on paying any value to some of the `leaks` that are about.

I do recall some mention of a beta being available to some close sources around this time of year, so there may be some more interesting things to come.

It is something to be interested in, as like it or not, this will be on many machines in the future and it`s good to get clued up on it asap.

Nothing in the list of features stands out for me atm.

As far as device drivers are concerned, it`s totally beyond me, knowing how the framework of some basic drivers work, how u can offer up "XP/2000" drivers to an OS and it can recognize or be told what they are - and then adapt them for what is required to run on the OS concerned.

Kinda like using linux drivers for a mac install, ala soundcards.

Still, more on topic, good to keep an eye out. Beware of phoney reports and bogus U-Tube movies.

Link falls over for me anywho.

I`d love to stick it on a pc to test. Gonna have a fresh one looking for an OS in a few weeks.

Some pretty thin incites to the Windows 7. Personally if I had this installed on a computer, I would come out with much more of an article (having admitedly used the thing for a day atleast within the article) than this guy has.

Meh, take it for what it is.

It does sound from what little info the guy laid out, that there are more corporate things being laced into this, including some things u cant try or use yet cos the server2008 version required to try them isn`t out yet ?!?!? (from the article)

Chances are, this release will be more geared towards trying to hook businesses into using it and not hanging onto old XP builds. Apparently we have Vista coming next... April/June ? ... If I were the boss, with W7 on the horizon.. why go through the trouble ?
