So Ii updated all my drivers and my computer tells me that I need to activate windows 7 again. Do I really need to call Microsoft for the 10th time ?

Can I just ask a dumb question?

Why do you need to keep "Ringing" Micro$oft and activate Windows 7 "Again", I've never known this happen I've built quite a few W7 systems for people and I must say this is new to me.

I maybe missing something but once it's activated that's it it's activated period, unless your messing with your registry or reinstalling often.

Once it's activated it's activated... Only time you have to reactivate is when you re-install.
Edit: Unless hardware changes like what Sin said below me. Forgot about that..

sometimes things change the way it reads your kit so yes you'll have to call M$ again to re-activate. To be honest why even ask if it tells you ...you need to re-activate why make a post about it just do it and be done.

Got to admit this is a first for me I have never been asked to re-activate windows even after upgrading memory, cpu, graphics or even adding in hdds. I always assumed once you installed, registered & activated your copy that was it. The only thing that windows does do when upgrading hardware is bug me to run the experience index again.

Only happens if the hardware changes often. Mainly only happens for reviewers since they are constantly swapping out hardware.

I had to repeatedly change the basic parts of my PC, but I have never faced with the reactivation demand.

as I said you MAY face a reactivation. Changing memory gpus cpu's dont normally trigger it. But changing hdd with the opsys on it MAY trigger it.
