Windows 10's growth with PC gamers has been halted

Wonder if it's because of how utterly catastrophic the anniversary update has been?

Wonder if it's because of how utterly catastrophic the anniversary update has been?

A lot of it is down to the free upgrade period being over, though I would think that a lot of users have reverted to Windows 7 or 8.1 after that update.

At over 47% Windows 10's growth shouldn't be expected to grow at the same rate and right now Windows 10 is not offering that much of an advantage when gaming.

Not many games use DX12 and there is not much trust in Microsoft's Windows 10 store only games yet.

Would be nice if I could apply a windows 7 ghem with aero glass without having to mess around. Was quite fond of the look.

When I had my w7 backup pc with my main one side by side ag 4k on an Oled, the w7 one looked amazing whereas the w10 one was kinda depressing to look at when I was feeling down..

Now if only they could fix what they broke in the last update that would be great! Portable devices no longer detected and MTP Driver Errors everywhere, Audio sources mysteriously changing with every boot up.. it's getting beyond a joke now. Ubuntu is free and has far less bugs than this garbage. I'm going back to 8.1.

Honestly haven't any problems that have stopped me from really doing anything with Windows 10 and I've been using it now since it first released.

They should be releasing another big one before the year for an update. Hopefully that fixes it. Unless it's one a year instead of 1update/4months. Can't remember tbh

I can honestly say the update has wrecked things for me too I've been using 10 since preview and this is the first time they really wrecked it
Lets just hope they get it sorted quick in future updates

TBH the amount of people i see on different forums saying how bad Windows 10 is i'm kinda happy that i went back.

This is starting to turn into a Windows ME & Vista with the amount of people having issues

And it doesn't seem like Microsoft doesn't really care about getting it sorted out Hmm i wonder why there is so many issues.... Oh yeah i know why Microsoft fired their Beta Test Team.

10 vanilla has been fine, but the Anni update totally screwed it for me, if I can't browse the net, it aint staying. The rollback was painless but why even release this crap if it's in such bad shape?

After everything I've heard back in the day about all the incredibly sneaky tactics in terms of forced upgrades and privacy settings, I did everything I could to prevent the upgrade.

I survived the free upgrade period still being on Win7 and so glad that even over a year since its release, seems like Windows 10 still has little to no advantage over 7.

Well isn't it only from a small selection of steam users? Only certain people get the hardware survey prompt? Unless it just runs in the background now. Either way there's enough people on steam that a small selection is still a massive amount of data
