Windows 10 Game mode shows up in insider build 15007

Just a thought, but as this will be able to stream and record, does that mean this could work like shadowplay IE 10 min loop record ?

The GameDVR is nothing new and has been a part of the Xbox App since Windows 10 was launched. You have various max recording length options ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours, you don't have to let it go the full length and can stop recording whenever you want but if you hit the max you have to manually restart the recording. As far as I know the GameDVR doesn't currently have a built in streaming option though it looks like Microsoft is changing that with this update.

Will it actually improve performance on high end systems? Seems only useful for lower end rigs.

You would think if everything works correctly that both lower end and higher end rigs would get an improvement but that it will more noticeable on lower end rigs. Of course when do things ever work correctly?

I've tried Razers Cortex program and it does what this Windows Game mode probably does, Turns off background services and apps for better performance.

It can work but the majority of the time the gains are minimal but the minimums do tend to get a little boost.

I don't see how this is going to be useful for the high end rigs since any pc with 16GB+ RAM won't have much problem handling background tasks easily
