Hi there,

My dad has just bought a bundle of parts for a new project. He tried and tried to put it all together but in the end gave up and called me.

The kit is now all up and running and looks good. Now he has gone out and got a legal copy of Win XP 64 Professional and has asked me to set it all up for him too...

Now I have set up his 2 Barracuda 750's as RAID0 in the BIOS and set the boot order to fire up from the CD. This goes through the usual driver load screens and then asks me to hit enter for the install to start. I hit enter and it says it cant find any storage devices. WTF??

I have tried deleting the RAID and re-installing it and trying again and still the same issue. So im thinking its a driver issue now.

Has anyone had the same problems???

Cheers for any help

You will have to spam the F6 button when the setup is loading so that you can install your own RAID drivers.

Drivers should be on the motherboard disc.

Ok, Just tried and I have hit the F6 key, I have tapped like a mad man the F6 key and still it wont have it. So I tried the F2 (ASR) and that worked but restarted afterwards.

Any ideas or methods?

Also I have no floppy drive, will a flash drive work if it asks me to make up a driver disk?

I believe that the only way to do it without a floppy is to slipstream the drives into the install.

I am almost certain that you cant use the flash drive.

You ought to be getting the F6 message straight after the black screen.
