Its really strange, when I read Toms post, in my mind I read them with a totally different voice with a scottish accent, very much unlike his actual voice...
 
I cannot wait to find out who won the prizes to congratulate them on their awesome prizes and to see their builds on this forum.

If I am one of the winners, it would definitely help to give me that extra little push to get off my laptop and build a nice rig. I could always use the money that was allocated for the motherboard and/or processor for better components.

I am really hoping for the third prize so that I can choose the motherboard that is best suited for my rig. Mostly I would choose the MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming motherboard because I like dragons, it matches the color of the AMD video cards that I will get, and warranty work, if any, would be faster and cheaper since MSI has a Canadian RMA depot.

But if I am not one of the winners, it will not ruin my day as I do not expect to win or to get anything for free in life.

The hilarious thing is I originally misread the date and thought this competition had ended on 14/06/2013.

I'm not a smart man, perhaps others missed things too. Hopefully nobody is really thinking of giving these guys a hard time for literally giving them a shot at hardware.

Everyone just relax, fire up your favorite time wasting activity and go waste a couple hours of your life.

[Edit] Good question on the rift tbh, heard about the 1080p prototype and that got me excited.

As for all the forum brawls, it's inevitable, but I do fear that someday it might be too much and as a result we won't have these fine events. I imagine TTL ignores most of the hubbub but probably doesn't make him feel that much better at any rate. Give the good man some consideration eh?

I'm looking forward to seeing the winners' build in the end if they can manage to snap some slick photos.
 
I find the Oculus Rift quite scary tbh, I've been following it for about 2 years now... but as much as I'm looking forward to it an being ripped into another world, I think it's gonna be one of those inventions that truly changes society.

Like the mobile phone, it allows everyone to connect to each other where ever they are, but a lot of people can't stop checking them even for a minute lol, likewise I think it'll have big psychological effects on people. I can imagine films might start going completely 3D motion captured an people can move around inside the film xD
