Anyone esle watching the Djokovic/Federer match? These guys are absolute monsters on court! The tension is immense and I'm not even there!

I was there the other day. I get tickets in the competitors guests box cause I'm very special ;)

Not watching this, may do soon though

I was watching it during my lunch break. I still have it on with the sound off and even now its feckin tense. Really good match though. Federer is looking really strong :D

Yea Federer played well in that 3rd set in particular (although it was still a massive effort to actually win it!). Nice to see him up against a player who isn't even remotely scared of his forehand.

Yeh, it was really only Nadal who could compete with Federer's forehand in the past. Can I ask who you're rooting for?

Well I'm kind of rooting for Djokovic because I really admire the way he turned his career around to get him where his is today. They are both really likeable characters as well as equally awesome tennis players so it's hard to root for one with out feeling bad about the other going out. Murray/Tsonga aren't in the same league - I think that this really should be the final.

What about you?

Well Federer thoroghly deserved that - Djokovic fell apart after losing the break point at the end of the third set. I think that he just handled the pressure better, Djokovic gave an uncharacteristic number of unforced errors.

Ah good, they are opening the roof before the Murray/Tsonga match. Time to take some photos of the toys that got delivered recently!

Like you I admire both players. I was leaning slightly towards Djokovic as well, but I don't mind who wins either way as they are both fantastic players.

Yeh I absolutely agree that Tsonga/Murray aren't in the same league as Djoko and Fed, but it will still be interesting to see how they cope in the final. If Murray makes it to the final, then he would probably stand more of a chance, given that he has already experienced a grand slam final (twice iirc).

EDIT: Didn't get to see the finish as I was away from my desk for a bit. But seeing how well Federer was playing he thoroughly deserved that win.

Yea Fed did deserive that win. I think what sets apart Djok/Fed and Murray/Tsonga is consistancy. They all are capable of great tennis but the latter two just aren't as reliable.

Watching Tsonga/Murray now and Murray looks comfortable at the mo. He's broken Tsonga early in both sets so far and is looking quick on his feet.

Interestingly Murray has beaten Federer more often than the other way around! So if Murray is on form it will be a great match. If he's not though Federer will wipe the floor with him imo.
