I'll definitely be using this part of the forum. Just scrounged a decent little PC off a mate just for mucking around in Linux. Never used it before so be prepared for some stupid n00bish questions.

Tbh I don't even know what I'll be using. Getting the PC tomorrow and I'll have a look at what's available. Been looking at Ubuntu, mainly becasue it's meant to be easy to use.

Also interested in LinuxBIOS but I couldn't find anything about using it on AthlonXP systems.

Ubuntu is kewl. Use that at home, am forced to use redhat at work

The LinuxBIOS is a good idea, it just needs more support from the motherboard companies. Hopefully this year it will make a big splash
