well not realy it just means that you can play games from the xbox and pc

its great for things like forza and other 'xbox only' games

two things wrong here:

1. it is not going to be call the xbox720

and

2. it is only for developers that this applies

...it means that devs will be able to create games that will run on the PC AND Xbox without have to use #PRAGMA code.

the person who wrote this needs to get his/her facts right !

Not a snowball's chance in hell... Did you know consoles do not use the same CPU architecture as PCs? They would need to move over to x86 before anything else. I am sure it won't come native to the Xbox"720" and might be something like a DLC, or InternetChannel on the Wii. Then in the end, it will run like shit, look like shit, and be a piece of shit.

there have always been rumours of the "720" ever since the 360 came out, So I'd take this with a large pinch of salt.

The PS3 and 360 the battle has become a bit of a "cold war" now and its kinda who blinks 1st. I sure we will see a new xbox b4 we see a PS4, but with the Kinect and Move additions, both companies believe there is still plenty of mileage left in their consoles (or its just an add on to grab armful of Wii's "casual gamer" market)

I wish current gen consoles would just explode an move the market forward... better yet, make console games designed with mouse/keyboard, so PC gamers don't get control limitations...

FPS are easier to play with a keyboard and mouse than a joypad - it just needs practice!!

anyone who plays on the mixed COD:MW servers will tell you this... a person on the same mixed server, using a PC, will PWN anyone else on a console

it is unfair - infinityward should be sued for this... as on the back of my PS3 DVD game case is states that the game uses dedicated servers for the game, giving the buyer the misunderstanding that there are 3 servers (PC/Xbox/PS3). it used to be just this (1 server per platform) at game launch, but to save costs when COD:BO came out, they mixed the servers (total con)

Don't xbox games already run on the pc? As in multi-platform games. Other than the xbox exclusive games, I doubt anything would be interesting. Certainly not doing to kill off the pc gaming scene and also I think this is for current xbox 360 games not the up-coming new xbox as that is still a few years away and I expect Microsoft will bring out other operating systems before the new xbox is out.

and... in two months time i should have the SDK for the next playstation
