hi ever one please help i have been offered a Dell UltraSharp U2713HM £260

but i would like to no is the best monitor to buy at the moment or should i buy something else please do no take into account the price i am asking is there better

i play bf3 alot and i am running gtx 670

I don't really know anything about displays, but i know that definitely isn't the best display you can get.

Maybe say what it will be used for and add a budget, then people will be able to help you better.

its for gaming and there is no budget

not sure if you'll have a good 1440p experience with a 670, look at some benchmarks first

also, that Dell monitor has a 8ms response time which isn't ideal for gaming

Not massively, PLS is a little better for some things. If you're all about gaming you should probably look at a TN anyway, IPS/PLS is more about colour repro than gaming...

Anything below 10ms response time is fine for gaming. If you really want monitor speed then a 1080p IPS panel can max out at 5ms response time. 1440p is slower naturally. A TN display is where gaming is at. The colors and angles are shit though.

What are you supposed to do? Take it into consideration just like all the other advice people have given you.

What i said was pretty clear dude. What res do you want? 1440p or 1600p? Ok then out of the list you posted pick the cheapest one. Not much difference with any of them. Same thing with 1080p. With 1080p you won't need to upgrade the gpu.
