Hello!

Well to put it short, I've been modding my rig a whole lot lately, and when I put a fan on my GPU (just for mossfets to keep them a lil' bit cooler) I noticed the temps on my gpu go from 33-34 idle to ~39 idle... Also the load temps went up for about 5-6°C, and first I thought it was the paste, cuz I changed it from NT-H1 to MX-4. I kept it for 2 months so it would settle and there was no difference, still 39 idle. So I changed back to NT-H1 and there was a -1 degree difference (38 idle) so there was some in the paste. Left it to settle and still hittin 38. Today I was just priming and thought I would unplug the fan and noticed this:

(I have watercooling so the temps on my gpu raise by 3-4°C)

DAFUQ?!

Has this happened to anyone else? A 5°C drop just by unplugging the fan?... I couldnt believe my eyes so I plugged it back in for a second and there it was... +5°C

Amazing how you can save on tepms just by doing so...

I would imagine its pushing warmer air onto the point where the temp is measured from thereby making it show higher temp. One would assume a fan would assist temps not hinder them lol. I know in my old sniper case when I set a fan at 45degree angle from the lower intake spot I ran cooler (on air) for my 570GTX but it was pulling outside air.
