Why you should use Phase Cooling

I guess some of use 'veterans' no longer chat about phase as something special but rather a way of life.

I want to raise the awareness of phase change coolers such as the MACH2 GT or Prometeia Extreme sold at EPUK.

One of our members by the name of Blindfitter - recently upgraded to Phase cooling - his latest achievement is terms of processor speed benchmarks can be seen in that section of this forum - Congratulations on your achievements its so good to see overclockers taking teh plunge into phase and always a pleasure to see the success people have, your success just happens to be very impressive as well - congratz man.

If you have a 6700 or 6800 core 2 cpu and want quad core beating performance then this type of cooling is for you.

If you have a 939 system running an x2 4600 or x2 3800, FX53,55,57 or 60 and can't afford to buy into a new system right now - a phase cooler should help extend the performance to beyond the requirements of today's software and games - essentially giving you a high performance system.

So guys what are you wating for - invest today and get tomorrows performance :D

I wanna add that a good phase cooler can go a hell of a long way to prepping a set up for Dice/cascade or LN2. Assuming a short supply of Dice or LN2, ya have to get "in the zone" very quickly, and seeing as the CPU needs time to get used to the temperatures to squeeze the last 1-200MHz out of the chip, things can get rushed, or missed altogether.

I think that shows in Blindfitters (and even killer_overloads) recent scores- the more relaxed pace and time that can be spent maximising clocks on a good phase cooler can make all the difference.
