Why so little interest in R6850?

Wanted to ask the community why there is little interest in the MSI R6850. I have found the card to be a very good performing card.

I agree that it is a bit outdated now but my experience shows that it is a good performing card and if it can be picked up cheap it would be a good buy. It played over 200 hours of Skyrim with no problem.

The 6870 is the only 68xx series card still worth buying and that's it you are at 1050 resolution, so like the other guy posted its old tech

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like this will have to sit in the closet until I can throw into a built that gets donated to a family member .

I have a 6850 and it maxes most games at a 40fps -120fps+ except for Crysis 1+2, Metro and BF3.

It is starting to show it's age now and I could do with an upgrade, waiting for all the new gen cards come out first though to see how low the Nvidia 5 series and AMD 6 series prices drop. I have decided not to get a new gen card, they are just not worth the money they are asking.

What a waste

Old tech....I'm buying a 5870. Old doesn't mean that it doesn't work it just means it's not as fashionable any more. People seem to have this notion that as soon as a new gen comes out the last one sighs a little and stops working as well. 6850 will still be able to play games maybe not maxed but can at least give it a good use.

Ya, it is a nice card. Can't even sell it for 100 bucks.

That's rather annoying, 100 bucks is around £60 rite? seems round about the rite price if you ask me but things do sell for less over the pond don't they.

I'm looking to upgrade and currently have no GPU until I get some cash together. I'm also looking for a 5870 like the guy above.

As a student I have very limited funds and can't go out and buy the latest tech. For me older cards are the only thing that I'm interested in atm.
