ps XMS and fragtek are nice people, although was looking at that thread where frag said somethin bout the boss' sister....naughty naughty :nono: take care!

Just came in to check out the forum and it seemed very informative so I stayed to learn some new stuff. Especially about watercooling, some awesome info here btw!

That would be my sister Olivia, that Frag was making suggestive comments about lol. And I'm not one of the bosses, Kempez has that position

Aye me and XMS are the boss mwahahahaha

But Frag and PV are under-bosses (and Dav0s ;))

Hope you have caffeine in your bloodstream...

Back in 2000 I bought a laptop, and became a master at listening to music on it. (I didn't know **** about computers...)

In 2001 I went to Germany for two years (US Army, still in) and went from working on mostly radios to mostly computers. (Officers have fits when they don't have thier email.) OJT to the max... Probably worst memory was trying to fix my BN CDR's printer, ended up making it worse:mad: Went through 3 laptops in two and a half years, and bought an HP desktop (I'm ashamed of myself now). Would like to thank 'Super-Geek', 'Super-Freak', and 'Undercover Brother', 127ASB Commo gurus, for hooking me up with Maximum PC and giving me as much knowledge as my walnut can handle.

July 2004, built a system around the FX-53, loved that thing, played Halo waaay too much.

May 2005, came to Alabama for a 3 year tour and my buddy the overclocker got me into upgrading and overclocking, SSG Hansberry. Great guy, clued me into the power you can get from cheaper parts.

I started off by going to T***H******* forum about a year ago, and while it was good (Mad Mod Mike is cool, I don't care what anyone says) I blew my top on a couple of retards that responded to a question I had (which Llwyd promptly and correctly answered). I mean I went WAY out of bounds, probably grounds for getting booted, but I didn't feel like sticking around if the brain power level was somewhere between a dog and a chimp. (Argue if you will, but cats are smarter than dogs. When was the last time you saw a cat look at you stupid?)

When I have a question, this is the place for me. No more stupid responses, I get to learn stuff, especially about overclocking, new components on the market, and share my special brand of humor. (I like that people here DO have a sense of humor.:D )

And Kempez is hot, looks a lot like Angelina Jolie...

PS: Talladega Nights- The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is hilarious! SHAKE AN' BAKE!!! (If you're not in to stupid movies, pass this one by...)

Llwyd: When I posted the question here in OC3D, you answered it, point blank. GJ. You wouldn't believe the responses I got at the other forum...

Ye let's not ey ;)

and ye I am hot. I know you want me :p <

Glad you've found it comfortable here mate, we pride ourselves in being friendly and helpful and not having "hassle" on the forum. If that's what we've achieved so far then we've done a good job :)

GJ Llwyd :)

I'm here because...

..you put up with me moaning about my tragically underfunded pc, and answer my mad, horrible questions about outdated components. ( no joke, my current rig is the Intel and ATI museum of ideas that shouldn't of made it)

Oc3d is also a friendly, relaxed place to be, and it beats the crap out of having to ring helplines etc.

<3 you all much:D

I am wondering why everybody is here...

I guess it comes down to two reasons :)

Being as it's christmas and time to buy presents... I decided it was time to upgrade my old Barton 2500 to something a bit more... modern :) I've always had a hankering for trying out overclocking... but in the past I was always a bit too scared to try due to only having one computer to work on (I replaced computers when they died).

This year... Merry Christmas to me :D ... I decided to delve in and buy something I could play with... nothing fancy... but a computer (parts) that seemed to have good luck with OC'ing.

So... first reason for being on the net again... to learn how to put these components together... and to learn how to OC them.

Second reason... and more specific to this site... I found the contest.

I've spent the past two weeks or so typing e6300 and overclocking and GA-965P-DS3 and overclocking into google and came up with a bunch of sites with information on it. Once on the various sites... I've spent time browsing and along with all the great information... found a few contests.

Wahoo... wouldn't that be a great way to delve in even deeper. :D

Soo... along with the search for information, the contests have helped bring this noob into this forum... and once here... wow... I can't say enough.

I've got a lot to learn in the next while, am going to make a lot of mistakes, going to ask some seemingly dumb questions... but we all start somewhere don't we?

Oh... and now here... I still can't believe how much the admins are involved in the day to day discussions in the forums... awesome to say the least... and great to see the teamwork (mods/admins)!!! Think I might have to stay a bit :)

medic583: they beat a certain saying into soldiers heads... "the only dumb question is the one not asked." Unless you purposely try your hardest to make someone go to your house with a flamethrower and rid the world of your DNA, no question is dumb. I spent days trying to make sense of the RAM divider for my ASUS/AMD mobo, finally someone explained it to me so I could understand it (I can't help it if I think differently than everyone else...).

TJS

I have to agree with medic583 on the fact that the admins are here and interact with everyone. Thats the main reason im here.

Whats the point of having a forum if you dont even contribute to it?

OC3D is a cut above:cool:

Im here for many reasons actualy.

#1 reason was cause Markkleb wanted me to PM him from here so i had to register and post. Then realized this was a good site.

#2 cause im tired of the other forums i go to, its the same old bland stuff everyday and nobody really posts anymore.

#3 This place had an answer to my video card question

#4 It dosent seem like a bunch of idiots are taking over these forums.

#5 Its new to me, and i like new things :)
