Why are people so ancy over the 970?

Yes they advertised them incorrectly in places. Performance is unaffected. Will I still be upgrading to SLI 970s? Hell yes.

Not true.. it depends on the game. For older games it would never be a problem. They simply aren't demanding enough to even get near 3.5GB of vram. Newer games are a different story though. Think someone on hear said Dragon Age Inquistion showed problems or something like that.

Doesn't mean that the performance has changed since the reviews at launch. If anything it got better :p
Just because people now know that it's a 3.5GB card rather than 4, doesn't suddenly make your framerates drop by 12.5% compared to before we had this information.

There are lots of 970s on sale on Amazon or am I missing something?

No it is true, performance is the same now as it was last week. The only thing that has changed is the difference in specs of the card.
Lots have problems with Dragon Age on AMD and Nvidia cards, the same as every other game people are saying they are having problems with.

I have made 4 videos of 4 different games, including Dragon Age, all using well over 3.5gb and they all ran without frame dips, stuttering and with the memory running at a solid 3506mhz throughout.

The framerate in some of these vids is low because I have had to downsample and crank up settings to max the Vram.

But the framerate isn't important, showing that the memory is running at 3506mhz and the game not suffering from frame dips or stuttering is.
It shows that when the games go over the 3.5gb and use the 500mb section there is no impact.

No duh?

There are loads being sold by amazon on that list, all the ones that have amazon prime next to them are sold by amazon.

Sometimes if a product has been wrongly priced they change it to under review, might have been what happened to the one you found.

Prime doesn't mean it is being sold by amazon it just means the delivery is being fulfilled by amazon. I sell a number of products on their and use prime for my deliveries.

Its not the price its this description fiasco, it specifically says:

"This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.

We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may still find this product available from other sellers on this page."

Well you can check for yourself dude, they clearly say shipped and sold by Amazon :)

I'm not saying that one you linked doesn't say what you said it says but there are many on the list I linked that are being shipped and sold by Amazon themselves.

I stand corrected :D, bizzar that they have done that for one model and not the other maybe more people are trying to RMA the G1 model rather than the lower end card.
