White Ice 2012-13 Build

Hello everyone,
After months and months of putting this together its finally time to get my rig built. Before I start I thought you guys would want to see what I have now. This rig I build over 4 years ago. It has been good to me, but I need something with a little more power. Also I know its not the best case and somethings can be better but I am getting a new one.

Here are the specs of its:

Case: Unknown (bought it locally off of a listing)
CPU: Intel Q6600 @ 3.0ghz
Cooler: Asus v6
MB: Asus P5Q Pro
Ram: 8gb(2x2) G.skillz
GPU: Evga GTX260 - Will reuse until I have enough funds for GTX670, should be next month
PSU: Raidmax 730w - Will reuse until more funds
HDD: 1x Seagate 1tb, 1x WD black 1tb, 1x Seagate 2tb

And now the specs for my new build:

Cooler: Corsair H100i
MB: Asus Maximus Forumla V
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB(2x8)
SSD: Samsung 830 256gb
HDD: Ones up there
PSU: Raidmax 730w (Reused)
GPU: Evga GTX260 (Reused

Mouse: Razer Black Mamba
PAD: Razer Goliathus control

Future Upgrades:
GPU: Asus GTX670 or MSI GTX670
PSU: Corsair AX750

Hey Kaney,

I like the power edition, the only reason I am leaning towards the asus is because it matches the colors I have in the rig.

and I couldn't agree more, aesthetics would most probably sway me too, both good cards you cannot go wrong !

I am starting a new build THE ORANGE BOX, GPU an orange one, ZOTAC not something I am familiar with BUT it fits the colour scheme ! :headscratch:

Hey guys,
I will be buying everything tomorrow. The only thing that sucks is that my SSD is out of stock. Now for me to wait for it to restock and buy it and then ship, I dont think I have that much patience. I have narrowed it down to two options:

1: Buy 2 Samsung 830's 128GB and do a raid
2: Buy corsair Force GT 240GB

They both end up being the same price. I would just like to know you guys input on this.

Personally, I'd Always go for the Single Larger SSD, In your Case, the force GT

Ok guys, here is a little update. I picked up the stuff on monday and put it together that night. Been a little busy with school and stuff to post anything up. The only thing that is missing is the H100i which should be arriving tomorrow. Also I am going to wait for my ssd which will be in stock on 12/20. I am going to get the samsung 830 256gb, because my friend got one and he is very impressed with it and since we do the same kind of work its better off.

- Also I have to RMA the case because the stupid stand offs would fit!!! The threading is to big for the holes. I put my old stand offs from old case and they worked out great. I have a few missing stand offs from the old case so it wouldnt be enough to fit the full motherboard. Hopefully it wouldnt take to long, I am sending it out monday, I want to keep for the weekend

The usb/sound/led&switches cables, can be hidden even better if you use the other hole the case have a bit higher, for the miniATX motherboards and then bring those cables around the board.

Other than that, and that torn PSU sticker (remove it all together) you are good as gold mate

Thats a really good Idea! I will give that a try. Everything is a mess right now because I have to RMA the case on monday and I wont get my cooler till monday . But I will give your suggestion a try once I get another case! Also any suggestion on any PSU cable extension company? I am thinking of red, to offset the white and black. Let know what you guys think.
