White box on site

Same.

In fact the ads on the side are not visible, just black. However I can still mouse over them and click them which takes me to the relevant ad site. its just visually they are not there.

Hi Warchild,

Is this still happening for you?

Could you fill in the following and reply back please?

1) I need a screenshot of the top of the page you're viewing please, to show the top banner, wide banner area, background and skyscraper ads.
2) can you go into your javascript console and check for errors (this may show what's going on)
3) Do you have the Windows 10 Anniversary edition installed?
4) Do you have multiple ad-blockers installed if so, which?
5) Which browser and which version are you using?
6) Does this happen on both the main www. domain and forum. domain?

Thank you.

Its all working now, well done SuB ^_^

No Worries dude, gotta work fast when stuff like that actually breaks!

Aye SuB has done a fantastic job, the cookies are being cast aside we may have to whip out the chocolate Hobnobs

Not a fan of Hobnobs (I know, here's my "English" card, you can revoke it) but I do like Choccy Digestives :)

Its working again. I'm not sure what is going on here, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

***See Below

2) can you go into your javascript console and check for errors (this may show what's going on)
***No errors found. In work I have Java 6rel 63 and 7 rel 79 installed. Not the latest. Perhaps this is why? I wont upgrade due to critical systems I need access to which are blocked by latest version.
3) Do you have the Windows 10 Anniversary edition installed?
*** Using PC at work. Win7 x64
4) Do you have multiple ad-blockers installed if so, which?
*** Only have Adblocker and as you can see from the top banner, its whitelisted
5) Which browser and which version are you using?
*** Chrome Version 53.0.2785.143 m
6) Does this happen on both the main www. domain and forum. domain?
*** Yes it does. But not on my home PC.

As I said, I can still click on the links on the side banners even though its black and it takes me to the OC3D youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/TimeToLiveCustoms
Hope this helps :)

ah, see that's intentional :)

Those 'black' areas are just us running the plain back ground theme. so nothing to worry about here, that's exactly how it should be :) There's no sponsored theme so we just set the background ad link to oc3d tv for now :)

Also Java != Javascript :) your java install version is totally separate.

But yea mystery solved, there's nothing wrong :)

Thanks for letting me know

aha ok. And I also meant to mention javascript was fine. But I wondered about all this since I was used to seeing ads on the sides.

Yeah no worries, always best to ask :) With you saying about black boxes I was worried even more issues had cropped up, but alas no :)

I get zero advertising but it's a work policy rather than me being stingy. I promise at home I go full regalia ;)

I don't have access to whitelist as I don't run the ICT area so whilst I'd understand the reasoning - It would suck to have the site inaccessible from work.

And that would be an acceptable exception :) you can't help over zealous ICT departments, (though I completely understand why they do it). At least they let you on the forum in the first place

Yeah I'm not complaining I'd lose access completely! I'm pretty lucky at work we get a limited amount (quota) of streaming sites and whilst games or some other sites are banned I can get on the forums and the like.

Cool, we're encouraged to play games in our lunch hour so they don't have much blocked other than torrent sites and probably porn here tbh.
