Which TFT?

I'm thinking of maybe getting one of those LG's as they seem quite a good price. Not so sure about the viewing angles atm tho.

Ok i think ive been sold. Found this.

It may not be a Dell, but with a 22" i can get rid of the tv i also use with the computer. And looking at this it looks pretty good. And for £200 delivered.

I've not got the money in the bank yet, so i may change my mind if the LGs get into ST within the week, but for now im settled on this i think.

The video7's are meant to be good :)

From the images on that review, the viewing angle looks better than the LG 20" despite being a TN panel.

At least you gain a bit more size for the money, altho the pixel size will pos be bigger.

Hmm found a LG 22" that looks nice :)

2 of my faves are the Xerox Xm series ...... or the insanley brilliant Hanns-G Displays

This hannsG 19 wide >> and HannsG are fameous for their low cost and usually zero Dead pixel count (check reviews ANYWHERE)

or these 1 or 2

as a general rule < 12ms

Contrast > 700:1 (how black is black)

for £200 though you could get that 2005WFP!

£210 inc postage *pick pick*

Ive actualy been sad/board enough to make out templates of how big a 20 and 22" ws would be, and 22" is a fair bit bigger. The 20" is a nice size, but 22" i can comfortably sit back in my room and view from a distance without a telescope.

monitor sizes

The 2005's seem ok and are a better panel and also have loads more input options, but I guess you only get 1year warrenty with them from that other site and they're not new.

As I've mentioned in a few threads before, pretty much every single 22"er out there suffers from at least minor backlight bleed, so keep this in mind. I don't notice this at all since I don't really play any games that ever go to near or pure black. However, if you play any games that have situations like that, it may not be the best option for you

Thanks for pointing that out, never knew that :s.

The review said that his wore out its blacklightbleed after a few hours use. And the monitor i have atm is pretty much a nightlight when on a black screen so it will probably still be an improvement even if it suffers from a slight bit.

@ timmy: An A3 sheet is actualy only very, very slightly bigger than the size of a 20" monitor.

Aye as compared to an A4 bit of paper:

Now all i need is a DVI cable as it didn't come with one. And that-shop-that-shall-not-be-named wanted £60 for one. And thats not a joke...

Frame drops when cranking up the rez wern't bad either!

Cheers for all the pointers guys :wavey:

I`ll put it to u this way, I throw a few dozen DVI cables out a month - what u say we do a deal ?

Prehaps I`ll swap u one for a friggin i/o plate ?

Why on earth you throwing them out? Could sell them on fleebay.

What kinda layout you need on an I/O plate? Ive got one or two...

Yeah, u do kinda sit with u`r coffee at times thinking u could sell the stuff that gets turned out. Gotta kinda figure how to bust them out through security - tbh I`d be too lazy for it, strictly speaking they should be returned as the monitors are returned. But just like the pcs, their keyboards, power cords, mice etc don`t always go back, they`ll stay in circulation til they die.

I/O plate ? Have a chat with Llwyd, I`m still w8ing for the ASUS A8R MVP for that mobo I had off him.
