Which is the correct order for RAM installation?

Hey guys

Tomorrow i will build my new gaming rig and i need your help on how to install the memory sticks in the right order.
I bought 2 separate Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 GB (2x8) kits which totals up to 4 sticks of ram (32Gb) for my Asus Rampage V extreme. They have the same frequencies (3200 Mhz),the same latency and are of the same version (4.24) but obviously have different production codes.
So my question is ,in what order, since every pair has different production code, should i install them to avoid any instability problems or other problems of any kind?
Even though the manual, with a picture (attached below) explains it,it doesn't clarify what to do in a case like mine.If i had the 32Gb kit it would be very easy but now i'm a bit confused.
To make it simple let's just call my two kits 'kit 1' and 'kit 2'.The right order would be to put the kit 1 in the A1-C1 slots and the kit 2 in the B1-D1 or the kit 1 in the A1-B1 slots and the kit 2 in the C1-D1?

Thank you very much for your time and i apologize for my English!

Cheers!

If you want to run them in quad channel then you must install them as instructed when using four memory sticks. If you do not then you will lose quad channel and possibly dual channel so yeah, as Chrazey says - install them as per the pic.

Thank you very much guys for you replies!Maybe i didn't explained myself well.I know that the right way to do it as the third picture indicates (for quad channel) but in what order prod. code-wise? the first pair, with the same prod. code, to A1-B1 and the other pair, with the other prod.code, to C1-D1 or A1-C1 and B1-D1?

That part is a crap shoot and may come down to luck. You are going to have to just try it for yourself and see what happens dude. We don't have your board or the ram you are using etc so it's impossible to give a definitive answer on that.

I think you may be over thinking the situation and worrying too much. Just try it and see :)

NP. Just install them in pairs on either side (so one pair in the right bank, one pair in the left) and see what happens. If it throws a spaz then just switch them around, start mixing etc.

Do you have the manual for your board? It says in there. Its also written on the motherboard.

Just fill the 1's

I've never heard of differing production codes making a difference. Wouldn't worry about it.

It's a suck it and see job. I don't think you'll have any problems as your ram is from the same manufacturer and same speed / timings, you'd have way more problems if it was different manufacturers.

I don't think so too but since the X99 tech, with the 8 ram slots,is new to me, made me wonder if this detail would really matter.

As the mobo's manual indicates:
''Always install DIMMS with the same CAS Latency. For an optimum compatibility,we recommend that you install memory modules of the same version or data code(D/C) from the same vendor. Check with the vendor to get the correct memory modules''

My two kits have are from the same manufacturer, have the same speeds, same latency and are of the same version,so i think (hope) to be ok!

Both sets are rated the same, just made on different runs, compatibility will be fine, as long as they are in the quad channel configuration all will work as it is meant to (Not accounting for any faulty modules).
