Which is better for bf3?

560 Ti, I have a 6850 and I can just about run on high settings, you should be able to run BF3 on Ultra with a 560 Ti. 6850 will do but the 560 Ti is the better card.

Although seeing as you are only going to be playing at 1280 x 1024 and the 6850 is quite a bit cheaper maybe that would be best for you

I will go for the 560 Ti as its only around £25 more then the 6850.

he's using a 1280x1024 monitor unless he plans on upgrading to a 1080 the 2gb won't really be needed

depending on what graphics card you already have I would invest in a better monitor first that has at least 1920*1080 resolution would see more of a difference or even better get both at once!

Bandwagon 1080 22" are around that price.

.. and if your current card then has heart failure trying to keep up, it'll encourage you to buy less beer/smokes/boo/chocolate/whatever to get a new card again

i have the 2gb its cost 200 bricks runs bf3 default everything to high and textures to ultra at 2560*1440 and i have yet to see gameplay drop below 30. if in heaven i crank everything up as high as it will my lowest is 16 fps but the average is about 40. its a very good card dude and at that res the 1 gb one should be enough for your needs. peace

If you do decide to get a new monitor here are two that I think are pretty good.

Shame that 6850 on Aria has gone up from £75 to £90 odd quid, probably could have gotten a 1080p monitor and the 6850 for just over £150.

Its what i use at 2560x1440 so at your resolution it would make the game its love slave trust me dude its ace. A little expensive considering whats new out there but its a bawse

Its a very good card mate, but the 1GB is more than enough for your resolution. I max out BF3 on my 560Ti Twin Frozr 1GB no worries.

I don't know much when it comes to ram in cards but I was pretty sure that you only ever needed more then 1gb when you were either using multi moitor displays or at insane resolutions. So how come 1280x1024 would use more than 1gb?
