Which graphics card for AGP?

I'm searching graphics card for AGP. I want to play games, like The Witcher or stalker. I found out, that my computer will be limiting better cards. I have P4 2,4@3, 1GB RAM, asus p4p800, 300W. I found radeons X1950GT, HD2600XT, HD3850 and geforce 7900GS.

Which card should I buy not to overpay?

Your probably going to need a new power supply for any of those cards so you'll have to factor that in. I'd look for something second hand to run with that setup, what screen res are you looking for?

My old AGP 6800GS used to run Stalker nicely on a 15incher with graphics around about medium.

Yeh you will definately need a new PSU.. 300w is nothing these days. Whats your budget?

I will buy what will be necessary, but I dont want to invest too much.

I have 2 ata hdds, 2 optical drives and no other cards. Im using 1280x1024, but I can play in smaller resolution.

Is it necessary to buy new PSU? If yes, what power?

Can I check first if new graphics card work with old PSU or it may be dangerous?

Your PSU is pretty much outdated, get a TX450 or HX520W from Corsair and you are set. As for the GFX the 3850 is a good choice.
