Which core for overclocking?

I heard SCAN still have some decent stepping Opty's in. I'd get them while you can folks: they won't be around much longer

Unfortunately no vendors will tell you what stepping their CPU's are mate. You'll just have to take a chance.

Well i dont know if you saw my post for my AMD Opteron 146 CABYE 0540 (the early one) FPAW.

I bought it from the USA used so i knew it was going to do a good clock.

Anyway i got charged £40 in customs but it still was only £193 including the charge and postage.

I wouldnt consider anything else at the moment but you will be lucky to get one as you dont even see as many on ebay anymore.

Lucky you but i sold my amd 4000+ for £201 so it didnt cost me anything to upgrade.
