Which case is the best for my specs?

I am in need of a sturdy and manageable case with cool temperatures

- ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe GEN3

- Intel 26000k sandy bridge

- Corsair professional series gold AX 1200 W

- MSI GTX 560 TI

- Kingston HyperX 240 gb

-WD Velociraptor 300GB

-6Gb mushkin redline 2133

i am not sure whether to get the the noctua cpu cooler nh d14 or a single rad liquid cooling kit like this one

i would like to know if anyone knows which case would be best for the performance and temps and cable management. Preferably a full tower =)

the ax1200 is a bit overkill for those specs

an AX850 would be ample...... then a fractal R3 would be a great choice for a case

yes the 850 would do lol. but im looking for a full tower so i can fit a reservoir if im going to choose to use liquid cooling

well - if you want a full tower, and you are going down the full WC route, then an xigmatek elysium is an awesome case, and then stick with the ax1200

would i need to go to the WC route? the only way ill do WC if there are modest temperature differences from the nh d14

are you thinking "closed loop" liquid cooling (as in H100, etc) ?

if you are then a spacious mid-tower would be adequate

the single RAD full watercooling you have spec'd is not as good as the H100 (IMHO)

EDIT: i used to have a single rad closed loop liquid cooling solution in one of my rigs (CoolIt Vantage)

the D14 beats it

really? i thought it would atleast be equal to its performance to the H100. I just don't want the H100 because it can get pretty noisy

with that kit you spec'd... it will be even noiser (trickling water, pump hum, fan noise, etc)

the only benefit that kit has over a closed loop solution is: the amount of coolant flowing through the tubing is greater, which means more heat dissipation.

IMHO - i think you would be better off with an R3 and a D14. the case is awesome (i won one). i have a D14 in it, and if it wasn't for the power lights being on, i would think the rig was turned off

that i cannot help you with then - as it is all down to personal preference

i have a CM Storm Scout for my Ying rig

i have a Fractal R3 for my Yang rig

and

a Xigmatek Elysium (still in box) for my future SR-3 build

would the 650d/600t be better in performance and temperatures?

Not sure, but the 650D is a very good case. My PC is in a fairly small room and with the door closed the room gets very hot (30 C +). Having said that, my CPU temps do not go over 63 C @ 4GHz with HT on and GPU temps do not go over 73 and all of that whilst folding

I totally agree. The 650D is definitely a great case to consider for your build. It's also watercooling compatible, but you may have to plan very well ahead and look for parts in respect to the 650D. Corsair also sells a replacement plane nonwindowed side panel for the 650D as well if for some reason you decide not to have a window.

The Fractal R3 is another fantastic case to consider. It's totally dependent on one's preference though.
