Which AIO cooler?

Hey guys,

So I've thought of getting the Silverstone Raven RVZ01 instead of the Fractal Node 202.

Now, I've noticed that it's about roughly 83 mm of space around the CPU area for a cooler. And on Silverstone's own website they "recommend" their own AIO cooler for the case, the Silverstone TD03-SLIM. At only 22mm thick rad with an 15mm fan, it's only 37mm in total thickness, it does theoretically fit.

Now, I'm not sure wether to go with that one or try with the Corsair H60 V2 or maybe an Corsair H55 (as it's tubes looks a bit more flexible than the H60's) and use an Noctua NF-F12 on either one of those (since I already have 4 of them and they literally dead quiet).

If you guys say no and go air cooling, then which one would you opt for?:

Noctua NH-L9i with an Noctua NF-A9 PWM 92mm fan.

Noctua NH-L9x65 with an Noctua NF-A9 PWM 92mm fan.

Silverstone AR06

What do you guys think and what would you recommend?...

Thanks,
Chrazye

All the standard 120mm coolers have a 25mm thick rad + a 25mm thick fan on them. You might get away with a normal one, but watch your RAM height (and don't use any of those Asus boards with the tall PCBs).

Can always slap a slim fan on the H60. What motherboard and RAM are you using?

Easy if it's fits Fractal Design Kelvin S12, Why do people always recommend Corsair AIO's

Because they established the entire market with the original H100, generally they are quite neat and inoffensive looking and the customer support is unrivaled. However I agree, in my experience the Kelvins pump is a little better, the rads are definitely nicer, the standard fittings and tube is just a bit cringe despite a decent overall quality.

As for the OP, I think I would go for air cooling in that situation just because, there are a few examples of people literally ramming H60's inside and it doesn't look ideal even with a slim fan

Yah, thought of the H60, due to it being a bit more slim than the standard ones/H80.

Sorry about the non inclusion of my specs, I have an ASUS Z97I-PLUS mITX motherboard and 2x8GB's of Corsair Vengeance Blue 1600MHz RAM.

I actually got the S36 in my older Arc Mini R2 and the fittings on the pump actually touched and slightly pushed the ram a bit.
And since I think that the S12 uses the same pump and fittings, it might not fit as well. How flexible are the tubes on that one compared to an H60/H100i you think?

And what makes you guys say it's better than Corsair's ones?... Despite considering JR's point with Corsair's AIO's which is true.

Corsair H80i v2 -

Looks snazzy, Performs well, What more could you want ? :)

True that, but believe it would be too thick inside the Silverstone Raven RVZ01 with an Noctua NF-F12 :(

Silverstone themselves make a low profile AIO cooler that I think is out/coming out soon. its been designed for their Low profile cases, like the rvz01.

You're speaking of the Silverstone TD03-SLIM yes?... Yeah, it's already out where I live.

Considering that one or the H60, the S12, the Noctua NH-L9x65 or Noctua NH-L9i air coolers.

I just want to try and get as best as possible for the small Raven RVZ01 case for my 4790K (non overclocked).

I'm stuck guys on which cooler to get :( ... Would really like an AIO, then it's between Fractals Kelvin T12, Corsair H60 v2 or Silverstone TD03-SLIM.

One reason for being stuck as not sure which one has the most flexible tubes, as that is needed in such a compact case.

Be careful, having tubing that is "Too flexible" could lead to kinks and flow restrictions. Having a small case could lend itself nicely to the T12. The fact that you can reduce the size of the tubing could combat the issue of bending too much/kinking it.
