Which 990FX Motherboard

Hi guys,

I currently have a Intel QX9650 and maximus extreme which I am about to list on ebay however I am looking to go to AMD

I am looking at 2 boards the GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7 and the Asus Crosshair V, does anybody have any experience with either board? I like the look of both boards but the Crosshair with its UEFI bios is looking more tempting.

Any feedback will be appreciated

no exp with the CHVF but I have had both the CHIVE and CHIVF and they were both exceptional boards I highly recommend the CHVF or better money spent on SB

I like the look of the all black Gigabyte board, would look awesome with some black ram. Not to sure about the asus as the red and black might be a bit too in your face

SABERTOOTH!!!!!!! Cheaper than UD7 and CF5 and i bet i can stack my sabertooth againced any UD7, and the CF5 just has a tad more features for those into LN2.

The procs you are talking about are for the server arena, the 990fx boards will support the flagship 8170 proc

FM1 socket mobos are for the APUs dude and they're already out

Llano (out now) = FM1

Zambezi (out in september) = AM3+

Komodo (Zambezi replacement, 2012) = FM2

Trinity (llano replacement) = FM2
