Which 22 inch monitor

Howdy all,

Yet again we have this question. Which monitor. Was looking at the previously £200 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132860/show_product_reviews which has dropped as its only actually 21.6 inches.

Next is the £200 Samsung http://www.ebuyer.com/product/125099/show_product_reviews

Or for £210 get the pebble... http://www.ebuyer.com/product/13092...ffset=10&review_type=both&review_order_by=SRF

Second 2 are more appealing due to the 2ms response time. Also both the £200+ are actaully 1000:1 and not the 700:1 mentioned in one of their spec sheets.

If there are any other £200 ish models that are better then feel free to post them up here.

was looking for 22 inch too, at the end after reading sh!tload of reviews decided to go for Asus VW222U

you can get a 24" with a MVA/IPS panel for £200

ALL 22" panels are TN+Film panels (less colours = worse reproduction, lower viewing angles, more likely to suffer from backlight bleed, also if overdriven could suffer from ghosting despite being 2ms - Asus have been known for this)

also 24" has a lot higher resolution and obv is bigger

Down to personal preference really but most monitors have the exact same panels in them these days. So saying one is 'cack' because of what is written on the front is a bit inaccurate.

At the moment it looks like it's going to be the 2232BW unless I'm swayed otherwise. After a decent search around, I can pick it up for £180 delivered.

I went to see the Samsung in PC World today just to take a look and it is very nice... But I would like a 24. Very tempted to buy one of these but want the right panel. Do we think Misco will provide it? Any experience of them?

Good, great viewing angles and ur guaranteed VA panel. The panel I got was the same panel used in the BenQ FP241W and LG L245WP which are both over £400. The only compaint is that I have a few dead pixels, but could'nt be bothered sending it back for the 4th time.

The Misco one is not the same monitor as it supports HDCP 1080i iirc, but u will have to read equk's review on it and compare it to the DGM.

Ahh yeah I've just pretty much found all that out on another review of the one you have. He was saying that is there a better one and that he then tracked down the Yuraku which is the original and a few brands are making clones of it. All the same screen though which is in those other Acer and BenQ models which as a few people have said are in the £350 - £500 mark.

I think I'll probably end up going for the Yuraku and if I decide to buy from Aria, the question is do I pay £30 for a dead pixel check.. With the monitor costing so little, I don't think I'd mind.

Managed to find 3 decent sellers in Misco, Aria and Advance Tech and also found 1 place that sells it even cheaper than all the others.

I wasn't sure as I can't find any reviews as a seller on them (if anyone else can then that would be appreciated) but I've just looked and they happen to be 7 miles from my house. If anything goes wrong, I can go bang on their door

I would go for a shop that you know you can trust in case of the possibility of RMA etc. Also some places have the option for no-dead pixels which means if you don't pay the extra, you'll probably get one with dead pixels (I think Aria are an example of this).

Yeah Aria seem to be doing that quite a bit.

Haven't seen that option on the other sellers though. I'm going to actually go to this shop on Tuesday to buy it. If it looks like a decent place I'll buy from them. Being so close to me RMA for the first year or so shouldn't be an issue as long as they don't go bust.

While hardly any say about the MVA panels, they all say a viewing angle of 180 x 180 degrees and that isn't going to be there on a TN panel.

I ordered my 24" monitor yesterday from them and paid the £9.99 for next day delivery. I was at work when they knocked at my house this afternoon, so my mum signed for it for me. When they got it in the front room, my dad noticed it was a Samsung (which I didn't order) and only a 19" so he called me. My delivery note was slapped on the box with all the right details on it but inside was the delivery note for some dude in Wales and his 19" Samsung.

They bloody put my delivery note on the wrong box... I can just see it now.. Mr. Bloody Spencer thinking Christmas has come early and fingering up my shiny new 24" monitor all night

I called them and they will call me back tomorrow and tell me what's going to be done about it. I made sure my delivery charges will be refunded and now it doesn't look like I'm going to get it until Thursday.

I've never used Misco in my life and I aint sure I'll bother again. While I've probably just been unlucky and 99 / 100 are fine, mine bloody wasn't!! First purchase with the company and it went

up so sod em!

Try looking @ Asus. They sure do make great screen.
