Which 2080 Ti model should I buy:

I am building a 2700x build and am thinking of buying a RTX 2080 TI (I know it's pricey and pretty much no preformance boost over the 1080 ti but it's a new Gen card and I feel as though it won't become outdated as quick as the 1080ti). The only problem is that I have no idea what model I want. I was looking at the Gigabyte Gaming OC and the Windforce OC as they are a little less hurtful on pocket but after reading some reviews people have been saying that, like in the 1000 series cards, they are quite sh***y and may preform at higher Temps under load then that of an MSI or Asus card. I would like to know if I am wasting my time looking at Gigabyte 2080 Ti cards and if it would be more beneficial to just spend another $50-100 on another brands card. Any advice will be much appreciated!

My build :

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x

GPU: RTX 2080 TI which model to buy;;

MOBO: Asus X470-F

RAM:Corsair Vengeance LPX (16Gb) (3200mhz)

PSU: Corsair CX850M (I know it's a lower quality but in South Africa it's the best I could get at my price range)

COOLER: Corsair H115i RGB Platinum (280mm)

STORAGE: - SDD - Samsung 860 EVO 500GB

- HDD - SEAGATE 2TB

CASE: NZXT s340 Elite (Matte Black)

I'd say you are wasting your time.

I have 2x 1080ti, more than enough power. RTX is new and very few games support it, or even do it well.

1080ti in my eyes is good for at least 2years more.

Like Warchild said, I'd go with a 1080ti or 2 (if you can afford it) option is yours. If however money is no object and you just simply have to have the latest and greatest then go RTX but for me I'd say get a 1080ti and enjoy a good few years of high end gaming while RTX matures and becomes a viable real option all devs are on board with.

You didn't specify the monitor.

I completely agree with Warchild on this. 2080 Ti only makes sense if you have 1440p 144Hz monitor, or 4K. And I would personally not run 2080 Ti with Ryzen. Having 9900K, 9700K, 8700K (delided), and overclocked to 5GHz+, also Intel X299 are the only situations when you can utilize 2080 Ti. Ryzen just isn't man enough for 2080 Ti. It is a good CPU, don't get me wrong, but not the best CPU. Good for mid to mid-high range builds, but not for balls to the wall. And when you look at Gamer's Nesus' charts below you will see that you loose really big chunk of performance just because of CPU bottleneck (yes now it actually exists). And that chunk of performance is why you would pick 2080 Ti over 1080 Ti.

So for your build 1080 Ti is perfect fit. You can find them used still in warranty for 500 or less. And you can buy higher end ones.

Gigabyte Gaming OC is perfectly good card. Everything comes to the silicon lottery in the end. Only important thing is to buy OC model. They have "A" dies which are binned from the factory.

also if i will buy one 9900k what motherboard to buy;
which is the best motherboard for 9900k ;;

These are the ones that doesn't cost arm and a leg. In no particular order.

Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master
Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra
ASRock Z390 Taichi (Ultra if you need 10G)
ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac
ASUS Maximus XI Hero
ASUS Maximus XI Gene

Don't sell anything to start with.

If you want a 2080 Ti give it a go with the setup you have got and see how you get on.

He already has Ryzen.
Oh right. In that case I wouldn't touch CPU and mobo like Kaap said and go for the Ti. (though I'd personally still look at RTX 2080, not sure why 1080 Ti is considered the main alternative as its about as fast, hasn't got newer features, and at least here is more available and affordable)

If you don't find FPS satisfactory I'd wait for the Ryzen refresh and see how they perform instead of flipping to Intel hardware.

In terms of which Ti, well I'd take Tom's advice and buy EVGA, here's the review: https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/evga_rtx_2080ti_ftw3_ultra_review/1

do you believe that the EVGA RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra is better from asus astrix 2080TI RTX; and msi 2080TI RTX; in everything;;

Imo Strix is overpriced, MSI is a company I try to avoid.

And everything? Nah, prolly not. Asus is probably the best card.

But the differences between quality factory overclocked cards are quite miniscule.

why you believe that asus astrix 2080TI RTX is better from EVGA RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra ;;

alot of say that EVGA RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra is better from asus astrix 2080TI RTX

If you look at the top end from all brands they are all pretty much the same. You will find same difference if you compare 4 STRIX cards. Buy which ever you like, or which one is on the best deal.

I can only tell you to look at cooling. If you want silent system buy beefier cooler.

Yes he's already been told this on other forums yet still persists in asking.

i am asking because some people told me that some 2080Ti cards have issues with the faNS

also AlienALX i believe that we have freedom to ask everything in every comunity corect/;;

is not bad to take more opinions from people who have better knowlege corect;
