Where to get good deals?

Hello people,
Just a stab in the dark,
I am looking into a GPU upgrade and I have basically settled on either a GTX 1080 or a 980Ti.
Now am looking around and I cant find any decent deals on either of them used. So on the off chance anyone knows anywhere that sells second hand parts I would be grateful for any info.
Also really don't know if this is in the right section, if not I apologize and ask if a moderator can move it to where this is meant to be.
Cheers

2nd hand is a tricky one, I usually browse the amazon marketplace and overclockers clearance (usually awful prices but there can sometimes be a hidden gem) but how i found my gpu at a good discount was by using http://www.hagglezon.com/ all that site does is compare amazon throughout europe and youd be surprised by how much price difference there is, its how i managed to find my 1080ti for £600

Will have a look at that site now, nice on for that.
Wish there was a site that deals with second hand parts in the UK that's not eBay or Amazon.

Just sold my 980Ti on Gumtree for £290

Gumtree, CEX etc. CEX offer decent warranty.

The best place to buy is OCUK member's market. However, getting access to it is a laborious process which was made even harder recently. However, the best bargains are on there. Current selling price for a 980Ti, for example, is around £240.

AVForums can be OK but the prices are far higher than OCUK MM. All of the other forums I frequent the people just ask LOLprices. Like utterly out of this world. One place I have access to sells stuff for more than it goes for on Ebay. I've pulled them up on it but in the end I just left them to it.

But yeah, I would try and get access to OCUK MM, just don't spam your way there because then you will get banned. But it also gives you access to free shipping on their retail site even on things costing like, £2. OCUK also has the best customer service of any website I use. That's why sometimes I will pay more for things, because they look after their customers.

Edit. I would also warn you to be very, very careful buying GPUs from Ebay. *DO NOT* buy them if they do not have manufacturer's warranty left that you can access. IE - EVGA.

90% of the GPUs on Ebay are baked and will last about a month. I know, I've had about three before I called it a day. One of them was missing the thermal pads (8800 Ultra) and he had bridged the gap with whole tube of TIM FFS.

Gumtree is a pretty good place tbh but you have to be prepared to travel if you can't find anything in your area. On the positive side you meet the seller. When I sold my 290X on there the guy came to my place and saw it working before I sold it to him. As Alien has said avoid Ebay for GPU's you never know what you are getting and vice versa if you are selling a component don't put it on that site the buyer can sometimes scam you and say that the component is faulty and demand money back.
