Where can i get a peltier?

well if you want to overclock your cpu you would be better gettign a good air cooler than a TT system . tbh i had a q6600 @ 3.6 on air unter a tower 120 cooler and it never went over 50 degree's . i can guarante you if you o/c the quad it will boil the water in a TT system .

keeps my temps down to around 38c. my intel stock cooler kept it around 60c!!!

if i had the money of course i would get the best system i could but i dont.

im going to get a new rad for it and thats it .end of post.

38c idle?

ok, i wont get thermaltake from now on but i will keep the cpu waterblock, i6 tubing and the reservoir. i was wondering if Black Ice® GTS-Lite 240 Black are any good with a combination of 2 Yate Loon 120x120x25 D12SH-12 2200rpm. i dont know what pump to get yet.

TBH mate that block isnt very good, even an older wb would be better. Pump wise again most is better than the Tt and wont die as fast, cheap new wise look at the xspc pumps, they do res/pump combos which will suit your beginner needs.

Rad is basic to say the least, scan ebay for some bargins, if not give me a hoot I may be able to sort something out.

That pump will be ok mate, 10times better than the Tt.

Rads do go for money on fleabay tbh. whats your budget Ill see what I can do.

I cant help you then mate, thats not much of a budget at all, your beter off with a thermalright untra extreme or a coolermaster V8 air cooler for that money.

so how much would a good rad and pump cost? for the whole setup i could spend £100-£150

but i would like to spend £60 for just the rad and pump.

around £60 for pump, rad, fans and tubing.

i will change the waterblock at a later stage.

You said more yesterday.

£100-£150 overall isnt too bad a budget tbh, Id advise to do it all at once.

Save the money then completely redo the loop, then stick the Tt stuff on ebay.

That pump is the stuff, especially if you put the XSPC tops on it. The fans on the other hand, I would go for a yate loon 2200rpm jobbie and stick a fan controller on it. Most 140mm are outclassed by the 120s and don't represent good value for money.

Oh righty then. The evercool ones look pretty good, but I don't know how brittle those blades are, and the lubricate bearing worries me slightly. Plus the packaging looks a bit cheap n nasty.

The akaska would be where my money would go, though it might be worth looking at watercooling UK etc.

See what anyone else thinks tho

now...talking about peltier...there are always lots of wc tutorial for people who never wc before. One for thermoeletrick pads would be nice. I would be interested to read more about it, like what to do, or what no do do and pictures with examples are always handy. If anyone has a smartie linky for that i would much appreciate.
