Whats the best way to recover from a failed leak test?

Hi

I noticed a couple of drops of water had come out of one of the joints on a fitting during a leak test. Stopped the test and sopped up the moisture with a paper towel. None of the parts are powered. This brought up a question, whats the best way to recover, towel it up, then air dry. Or is a fan or hair dryer with no heat Ok? I never had a leak before so just want to be sure everything is alright before power applied to components.

Thank you

Towel up what you can, then dry the area with a fan or low heat hairdryer.

How long for depends on whether you use non conductive coolant or not - if it's non conductive then you don't have to be quite as meticulous about getting it completely dry.

+1 for Davva I'd towel dry then leave over night in a warm place to dry fully.

Last System i had a Major leak. Ripped all appart then dryed for long Time. But the next Time i hit the Power-Button my System shows up with one Graphiks Card...so...do what you can to dry ALL Water out. Better be on the Safe side and wait another day or two to let it dry

I had a bad leak few weeks back, stripped it used a damp cotton bud to get most of the dye off then hung the mobo and gpu on the washing line for 3days.. Still works, airing cupboard works just aswell.
