What retailer/'s do you use?...

Hello all,
Just a quick one. Just wondered what retailers people use whether they be online or actual stores?

I have used Scan before, also Amazon and Ebay. Also know of Aria and and OverclockersUK.

For PC hardware I almost exclusively use SpecialTech, Scan, Overclockers, Aria, and Ebuyer.

For general online shopping I usually buy from Amazon and eBay.

I will say though think long and hard before ever ordering from WaterCoolingUK, they have shocking customer support and it takes forever to get a refund because you'll probably never see your items. - Just sayin'

U.S. here also Newegg for kit parts Performance PC's for my water cooling gear (Frozen CPU if PPCS doesnt have it) they have the best parts at great prices and very very fast order processing.

Scan, also good to go to the store if possible just to check out whats going on there, they usually have their Dream PC out which costs like £5000, they have a big home cinema room set up, gaming machines etc. Might of changed again now but thats how it was last time I went.

Overclockers is good as well.

If I didn't use them I'd use Aria and Dabs.

I just use whichever is cheapest or has stock ready available, as long as they are known retailers who are easy to return stuff to and not some random unknown store from a Google search.

I mainly use Aria, Overclockers and Scan though.

Your welcome dude, if you do buy online try to use Paypal or a Credit card especially for high value items it just means you have better chance of getting your money back should anything go wrong.

I'd say Amazon as well actually, it's not the first place I'd go but I did buy my Corsair PSU from there as it was considerably cheaper than anywhere else.

Only thing with overclockers is you pay about £10 for delivery, there is no other option except for more expensive ones, I don't seem to remember the likes of Scan charging so much.

Ebuyer and amazon mainly. Will be using scan for the first time this week.

I've used Overclockers.co.uk but I wasn't satisfied with the quality of product on delivery and I most certainly blame their courier of choice. Hopefully they'll be able to deliver memory sticks without them looking as if they've been through Syria.

End of February I will be using Specialtech since, well, TTL keeps on giving them props and I only know of their existence through this review site, so I'll give them a go. The site needs a rework and more stock definitely wouldn't go a miss.

I've also bought from Kustom PC's many years ago, not really a site for hardware components but any cables, fans, lights and modding etc they are good for.

Edit: I'll never use YoYoTech again. Bought an Intel Pentium 4 years back, came in a small black box, like what a toy ring would be in, thought nothing of it since I was a noob idiot, came with a ThermalTacky jet engine (I did order the Intel reference boxset!) and a load of cables and stuff but they didn't come, apparently all sold out but we'll send them...never came.

Specialtech is my new shop for Watercooling kit but they are to far for me to drive to, so I get everything delievered.

Scan is the only hardware company I will use due to previous experiences with OCUK, Aria and Microdirect and I nearly always drive to Scan as they are only 25 - 35 minutes away from me.

Not bought anything new for quite a long time now tbh.

Due to certain horror stories I've heard, I won't use Scan for motherboards, but would for pretty much everything else if they're cheaper.

Happy to use Aria for anything and their prices are often cheaper, but their stock is far more limited than other places which is often an issue if you're trying to make a larger order.

I tend not to use OCUK unless I absolutely have to. Their prices are nearly always more expensive - even their deals of the week are often more expensive than other places, and also they lack postage options which ruins it the most for me. Anything of reasonable size and you're forced to use £10+ couriers (I think this is still true?). That just completely puts me off when I can get free delivery from a fair few other places.

Ebuyer are actually one of my favourites, but again due to the lack of free next day delivery I can get with some places I'd rather save money and go elsewhere. Having said that, their delivery options are amazing. You can order up to 11pm and have it first thing in the morning, and that's still only £10 or so. Also, their RMAs are amazing. They pretty much have a 2/3 day turn around, and do everything themselves so never have to resend things off to the manufacturers. I've sent back motherboards before and even the first STX I had, they've tested them the day they got them back, and either given me store credit or sent a new one out that same day.

Specialtech's another good one. Great range when it comes to cooling, and fairly competitive prices. Occasional issues with them being a small store and their website isn't as as up-to-date/sophisticated as it could be, meaning sometimes it can say something is in stock, when it isn't, then it delays your order because of it, and due to a lack of communication you aren't notified. If I order from them, I normally put a basket together then call them up to make sure everything is in stock before placing the order. Other than that though, they're pretty good.

That's most of them gone through I think, happy to use Amazon, and CCL's another one of my favourites at the moment. Never had an issue with them.
