What other Parts?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some pc parts to complete the build I'm currently doing, I already have a NZXT Phantom (Black with white trim) 410, Corsair hx 650W, 8GB Patriot memory and a Intel 60gb SSD, Sony dvd drive. I need everything else apart from the things stated above But I also don't need a Monitor, Keyboard + Mouse or anything like that!

I wanted to keep a color scheme of blue, Black and white however it doesn't really matter. I want to be able to play games like BF3 and Borderlands 2 Maxed out. I also need to edit video and edit photo so an i7 is preferable. I would say my maximum budget would be around £800 - 900. :lol:

So I was thinking

i7 3770k

Msi Z77 GD65

Msi Power edition Gtx 670 or MSI HD 7970 Lightning

2tb Seagate Barracuda drive

Gelid Solutions GX7 CPU COOLER

Asus Xonar DGX 5.1

and I was thinking of maybe another SSD (60gb or 120gb sata 2) for Steam games.

any recommendation or ideas would be helpful!

I'd get the 7970 over the 670 and get a NH-D14 instead of that GX7.

The one thing i'll say about the Lightning 7970 is that it doesn't have a Dual Link DVI. Because of that, it can't power 120Hz monitor or a 1440p monitor. You may not have one now, but it may be worth thinking about.

If you do end up going with the Lighting card, be sure to look at the MSI Z77 MPower board! It's such a perfect match

Thanks for the response Mate got a few questions first of as for the SSD I thought Sata 2 would be more then enough for loading games and I looked at the mpower do you think it would be any good? and what would you buy with that amount of money? also I don't think I'm going to game at 120Hz to be honest and 60Hz is more than enough for me!

SATA III SSDs are cheap these days, there's no reason to go with SATA II.

The MPower is just like the GD65, just cooler - my opinion, of course.
It's got all the overclocking potential of the '65, but all boards are individually tested in heated rooms to ensure they can overclock in extreme thermal conditions.

7970 is more powerful, especially with the suped up drivers from AMD. I say go to the red side.

Ohh, I liked the look of em too but sound isn't really an issue for me mate since I have a headset.

I have a graphics card which uses the Twin Frozr IV, and I don't find it too loud. Set up a good fan curve to keep the noise down and you should be fine.
Each to their own, though.

Okay, I'm going to order the rest I'm just not sure on the Gpu hope the 7970 Is worth it over the Gtx 670 :/
