I know its distilled water with some biocide and something to avoid bubbles but are there additives you can add to cool it more? or other solutions too?

Mayhems coolant pretty much has everything already in it so no need for extra additives. Your in the right place for watercooling advice though, many many knowledgeable veteran watercoolers around.

i was thinking of making some crazy cooling system and adding some methodes from air conditioners like making the air pass by a bag of freion and tuff like that

Yeah don't do that.

Mucking about with refrigerants, especially CFCs is an easy way to damage yourself, and your surround environment.

There are plenty of premixes available, Ek do some good ones, as to Feser. Mayhems also do some okay ones, but personally I would avoid the pastels and their shiney one, neither are intended for long term use.

Just don't get any coolant dye in there. I've met a handful of people that had serious problems cleansing the old dye from their loop

i was expecting this as i read toms post

It's still pink, i need to make time to empty, flush, rinse and refill her tbh. Just haven't found the time.

Still kinda looks like amniotic fluid at this point

just switch to a different colour scheme :p

It stains but hes talking about Algae - I love the "Ive read about it so Im an expert" comments

FML .

In fairness he is only talking about getting the dye out not algae.

Mate of mine changed from a mayhems red dye in his coolant to clear a few weeks ago and the tubes still have a pink tinge to them and that's after a lot of flushing, Guess there's still some either in the rad or the tubes have been permanently stained.

Either way I'm going to go with clear just for the clean looks :)

Tubing always leeches a little colour, it's cheap enough to replace it these days. Silicon will do that :)

That's exactly why I'm going with clear coolant, I have it all in a box ready to go in, All XSPC, 360mm rad, Bay res/pump, CPU block, fittings, tubing, Just need the time :)

Yeah i have some more clear Feser to go in mine.. really can't be arsed with doing it though *sigh*
