All valid ponits and i agree with waiting a bit, but G80s still rape DX9 games we have now...

Agreed. But unless ur benching ur really not going to see a $600+ improvement in performance (coming from a 7900GTO in this instance). It just seems like money wasted right now. I could see it if maybe u were still running a 6800GT and u were wanting to upgrade.

The only way I'd get P'ed-O is if nVidia came out with DDR4 on a video card in Q1/07... other than that, an 8800GTX/S is fine now for getting ready when Vista shows up and games/ other programs show.

The w/c for the 8800's would be really nice, but I didn't see any for sale so I don't see it coming out any time soon. Matter of fact, I don't really pay attention to 'new product' rumors where the pc is concerned... look how long C2D was in sight before being available. (Honestly, I thought it was a load of hype... WRONG AGAIN, RONALD! D'OH!!)

I think nVidia will have a GDDR4 card ready for 2007 personally, but I'm still getting an 8800GTS
