hey all am new here but been reading the forums

i have an asus 8800 gtx graphics card with stock cooler but need better as my temps are 75 idle and 100+ load i have a big fan on the side of the computer that keeps my card from going booom so i need better cooling.

my case is the thermaltake armor with as many fans as i can get.

i have about 50-60 pounds to spend and i seen some where on this forums that thermalright t-rad2 and the thermalright hr-03-gt coolers are prity good but is there any better i should get?

thanks simpson

i used to use a lapped hr-03 and a slightly modded d-tek unisink on mine (i'm sure i've still got em somewhere...)

was good enough to use with a lil voltmod too

can't find any rly decent pics anymore tho.

pretty certain i had better ones on imageshack

cool i am abit of a noob at this cooling stuff 1st custom built computer and the only thing wroong is cooling so the best cooling for cheaper the better it is for me and not water cooling

you mite also want to check out the xigmatek battle axe, i've seen a review with the battle axe on a 8800gtx somewhere and its available for £25-30

i think i might get the t-rad2 and get 2x92 mm fans that should come to about 52 pounds ish

i herd that the scythe fans are ment to be good any other fans and websites to get them from?

I'll +1 on the skythe musashi, wrote a review of it in the member's reviews section if you're interested for a closer look.

I'd also take a look at the akasa vortexx, great value for money from what I've heard.

i didnt get the idea from that review at all

It has some cons, but it's dead silent which is a big pro for me. Sli isn't an option though.

EDIT: I'm too tired, edited two times to remove typo's of one sentence -.-

wow thanks for all the reply's :D

i thinks i am still going to go with the t-rad2 as reviews tests says it peforms better

thanks for all the reply's :D :worship:

I am using Zalman cooler on mine, the silver coloured one with the red LED fan....does a pretty good job. I run the fan undervolted and it still keeps it nice and cool with minimal noise.
