What Is An Affordable Gaming Headset?

I'm not good at making decisions and I was looking for advice and recomendations. I'm looking for an upgrade from my Turtle Beach Earforce X-11 headset. I was hoping to just spend around $100 on a pair and was looking for something in yellow, white, or matte black. I've been trying to go black and yellow on my setup but theres not many yellow "good" computer parts out there. So my setup is mostly black. I've been looking at a pair of SteelSeries Siberia v2 Natus Vincere headphones because they're yellow. They're fairly nice quality, have 50mm drivers, and have noise cancellation. That's basically what I'm looking for in a pair of headphones. 50mm Drivers, noise cancellation, and a quality Mic. Sadly this headset appears to have a cheep (from appearance) looking microphone. Maybe someone on this forum has a pair and could give me their review of them. I've also been looking at the Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset. The big thing I'm questioning about these are that they're are wireless. I've never had a wireless headset and I'm concerned about lagg, and the inconvenience of having to charge them. My motherboard has Power USB 2.0 and 3.0 Speed Charge. I don't know if this would help with charging them and if having the USB wireless adapter connect to a USB 3.0 port would improve performance. Hopefully someone on this forum has a pair and could give me their review on them. Maybe I can get lucky enough for someone to post that has had both pairs of headphones. But I am also into other recommendations. I am not for buying used parts because I doubt their longevity. So I ask for the help from those with experience because I don't know anything about headsets besides the common knowledge.

Bad reviews

I've been reading up on reviews from newegg, tigerdirect, and microcenter and a lot of head phones including the corsair 1500 have gotten a lot of bad reviews of how the plastic band breaks or the cable falls apart easily. I know usually people who had a bad experience are more likely to make a review then someone who had a good experience but it just seems weird that they have so many bad reviews.

I have a Steelseries Siberia v2 headset.

Can't fault them... great sound, comfortable and the mic is great.

Only downside is you'll need a dedicated soundcard to get the best out of them.

why do you need a dedicated card? do they get power from the card? i recently got a new mobo but it only has a relteck builtin sound, will that be good enough?
