What are you currently listening to

I actually like that song. Normally songs like that are a little to heavy for me, but that was not bad

love the band me mate, to say they have saved me from doing still stuff is an understatement. glad you liked the track too man, go have a look at there Deliver us album its a bit mellower an you may like it, they had a few different band members for the album.

NBD, have you always listened to heavy stuff or has your taste changed at all over the year? I find myself not listening to metal as much these days. I still love Neurosis and Dillinger Escape Plan, but a lot of the really heavy Doom stuff like Indian I would barely touch.

When I was a wee little boy I listened to Linkin Park, Green Day, Simple Plan, and some hip hop. But then I grew up and grew a pair **** and enjoyed metal music. Haven't turned back since. I've listened to basically Metalcore/metal since I was 12 almost 13. I started off really heavy with Children of Bodom for example and I think they were called Hellblade? Don't remember. But after a few months I started listening to lighter music after I found newer bands. I'm only 21, so as I get older I might change my style. But I haven't yet. I've liked country for the past few years but recently started hating it and hopped back into the metal train again.

I should note, I do like non metal music, however it's a limited amount and most of it is just childhood memories or Linkin Park because my cousin is in the band and it was/is a huge part of my music life. Just there old stuff though. I can't stand the new crap

Linkin Park are nothing like they used to be. I've listened to Hybrid Theory so many times. I like their industrial stuff they do for soundtracks, but everything from the last ten years other than that has been pretty bad.

I remember learning Children of Bodom songs on guitar, but I never was into the band. I loved Machine Head's Blackened album, but I was more into Deftones, System of a Down, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, Gojira, Meshuggah, High on Fire, Converge, Fear Factory, Metallica, Pantera, a lot of usual suspects but some less usual stuff as well.

Yeah there first 2 albums were the best and some from there 3rd. Everything after is trash.
Haven't heard of most those bands because they are probably to heavy for me lol. I listen to August Burns Red, Oh Sleeper, Texas In July, As I lay dying(older stuff), All that Remains (older stuff), Miss May I, Bury Tomorrow (just got into), Parkway Drive, Phinehas, Volumes, A Day To Remember, and that's all I can think of at the moment:p

I know a few of those. The things that I listened to weren't heavier, but they were very different to stuff like August Burns Red, which is a definitely more modern. Gojira and Mastodon were more technical while Converge and Dillinger were more punky.
