What are you currently listening to

I like Ampunk. I also like Brit punk but only from the 60s-80s. The reason I like Ampunk so much is because it maintains what was good about old British punk. Love Green Day (but prefer their edgier teenage angst stuff better than the late stuff) Social Distortion (seen them live, one of the best and most underrated punk bands of all time IMO) as well as stuff like 311, which would be punk crossed with SKA and reggae etc.

I do like me some heavy metal. I like f**k, I'm dead and some other thrash stuff but I find it puts me in the wrong sort of mood if I overdo it now I am getting older. My tolerance is lower I guess, so I just listen to Staind and Disturbed mainly as well as all of the other stuff like Three Days Grace etc.

For chilled I like Lukas Graham. In fact, their album is probably one of the most listened to albums I have. Also like Gavin Degraw etc. I also love old reggae (Trojan) old Hip Hop (80s stuff, the real stuff) Electro and so on.

And then I love Radiohead, live music, classical music and so on. I think it would be fair to say that I love all sorts of music and all types which is why I have so many different pairs of headphones and several amps. Also love the classic stuff, Mack the Knife, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Danny Kaye, Frank Sinatra etc. Oh and country music (Johnny Cash for example).

I particularly love dark country like Cash, Songs: Ohio, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, and Gillian Welch.

For classical Chopin is my usual go-to, especially his piano concertos. I also like Schubert, Brahms, Mendelssohn, and modern cinematic composers like Thomas Newman and Zimmer.

I love it when you discover a song you had completely forgotten about for 30 years only to find it again. Managed to procure a flac album too so I've had it on repeat all morning :D

Ice Nine Kills - Enjoy Your Slay.

The lyrics are based on Stephen King's The Shining, as well as its movie adaptation. I think the lyrics summarize the story fairly good. Features Stanley Kubrick's grandson as well.

I've never really been into Brand New (aside from a few songs), but this album has converted me into a huge fan. It honestly might be one of my favourite albums ever. It's incredibly well produced, too. Instantly bought it in FLAC.

I'm listening to the entire album on repeat, but these two songs stand out to me. The chorus of 451 is particularly catchy.
