Hi all,

I apologise for asking the question that gets asked load of times in this board, but I'm still not 100% sure what monitor upgrade to go for,
Here a bit of info

My budget is around £400 ($640)
GPU = GTX 680 (2GB)
Current Monitor = HP ZR24W

I mainly Game on the monitor, I do watch some TV/Movies occasionally, but the source quality isn't always the best, youtube 1080p, online streams, some blu-ray rips. etc Most of the Movie Watching is done on my TV in the other room mainly though.

Games are fairly varied, World of Warcraft primarily, then pretty much anything else in equal measures, I do play FPS, but I'm pretty average so I suspect having the very best reaction speed monitor won't really make a notice able difference for me.

I plan on using the 24inch HP as a 2nd screen finally, so I guess that means I will be gaming on the new main monitor in border-less (windowed) fullscreen to allow that, So GSYNC would be pointless

I have been looking at Dell UltraSharp U2713HM and I can get this for about £385 and wondered if this was worth it, or in fact paying a premium for a dell.
I'd prefer to have something with a relativity painless return/warranty, and I'd like for it to be fairly sturdy on the desk and

Sell the 680 and invest in a better gpu and a cheaper monitor so you can game properly at 1440.

I use the dgm 2701 27" 60htz 2560x1440 monitor got great reviews and cheap as chips.

I just bought the Asus PB2789Q its 27" 2560x1440 it is a great monitor and I got it for £399 from Scan Computers in the UK. It has been a wonder to use! I would definitely recommend it!

This monitor is a decent one yes. Also check out the range from AOC. They do offer nice ones (possibly with G sync)

Nobody around here like the Qnix monitors?

Can almost get two for £500

I use three of them. Samsung panels inside. Stand is not so great but you can see I use my own stand anyways. First two came from South Korea to my door on the U.S. overnight. Third one I ordered took two days. Unbelievable shipping!

Have you ever thought of a ultrawide like the LG34UC97? If not there's the phillips model that's 4k and 40" -- I'd wait for that one unless you're in EU then it's already out for you guys!
