It is official, Western Digital has agreed to acquire Sandisk for $19 Billion, combining two of the largest storage providers in the world.

WD probably did it to help them enter the ssd market and probably improve there own HDs sector and make more hybrid drives? It's a pretty darn expensive buy though..
