8w power consumption on a 2.5" drive? Not much use for laptops then..

It's an enterprise level SAS drive luigi...The power consumption is actually pretty good considering the speed the drive spins at, these are designed for massive rackmounted RAID arrays and high specced servers where space is at a premium.
