Weird Question, really.

LOL, yes there are makes of potato mashers! We have like 3 and paid like £18 for one masher and it's POOR. Tried to go for a cheaper from Poundland and still RUBBISH. I borrowed my Mum and Dads and it works like a charm, they paid like £6 but can't remember where they got it from, since it was years ago.
 
Ok serious answer :

If you like your mash lumpy, use a fork.

If you like it smooth, use a electric whisk.

If you just want a mash, a big plastic square holed masher works fine.

All these metal ones, over-rated.
