Made this vid a while ago now which is basicly a video build log of my old U2-UFO build. I am in the middle of a major over haul for a new project (X48/wolfdale/2x 3870X2) but I thought this may be of interest to a few people here.

The video is roughly put together so apologies for the short time of text.

Hope ya like.

Oh I like, nice rig, although you have 501x8, not x9 :p

What voltage is that for 4ghz prime?

Edit: I watched this vid months and month ago from XS iirc... Welcome :hello:

Oh yeah lol. 501 x9 would be nice though huh :D

Vcore was 1.64 under load 1.68 set in bios. That was after a motherboard swap as the EVGA wouldn't clock my quad, got a blitz which clocked like a dream :D.

Yeah I posted the vid on XS ages ago (username : Ic3man).

Yeah 501x9 would have been alright lol :D

1.68v in the bios! For 24/7?? Over 1.5/1.55v causes damage to the chip though...

Still: well nice :)

Nah I ran that just to see how far it would go. I used 1.52 for 3.8 for 24/7.

Electron migration aint instant afaik, it will degrade over time and I upgrade too often for it to effect me(/touches wood). The chip has been sold now anyway and is still running fine.

For info I had an E6600 @ 1.6v 24/7 (also 4gig stable) that I had for a year which is still running on those settings today, never missed a beat. Obviously I wouldn't recommend that sort of voltage to anyone - just stating my experiences.

Thx for the kind comments guys.

Cheers, I'm just assembling some parts atm and planning what exactly I want which is basicly something different as the blue/green has been done to death now. Its a pain waiting for new hardware to be released though. The new rig is gonna be based around X48, dual 3870x2's and either wolfdale or yorkfield cpu's.

I'll still be using the UFO although it will be based around a different colour scheme(tubing, fans, cathodes, etc) and will once again have 2 loops or maybe 3 if I can find the cash to implement the third loop. I might ask AquaPC, WCUK or one of the hardware etailers on here to help out with sponsorship but due to the recent scumbag reported in their forums, sponsorship looks unlikely so I may have to go it alone and hide from the wife for a while.:(

Project : Tiger - coming soon

I'm in the process of re doing my rig. I am stuck between 2 ideas.

1. An all black theme. Black yateloons, black Tygon tubing, black waterblocks, black braiding.

2. Black + orange. Black and orange yate loons, clear blocks, orange dye, orange tubing for 2nd loop. All with anti kink coils (orange and black).

Opinions?
